What to expect...
Eastern Melbourne Psychology is located at 148-150 Maroondah Highway, Croydon and 1/1137 Main Road, Eltham. You'll find easy parking in front of the clinic or along the street. When you arrive, please take a seat in the waiting room and make yourself comfortable - Louise will greet you when your session time nears. Feel free to make yourself a cuppa,  you'll find milk and and cold water in the fridge in the reception area in Croydon and in the kitchen in Eltham.

First session: The first session is always a little different as 'housekeeping' such as confidentiality, fees, and the cancellation agreement will be discussed. Some questionnaires may also be completed to give Louise insight into your current experience of stress, anxiety, depression, and overall well-being. This will be repeated occasionally to allow Louise to monitor your progress. The first session is very much focused on getting to know each other, on building trust,  and for Louise to gain an understanding of your personal needs and goals. Some new strategies may be introduced or psychoeducation may be used to help you gain a better understanding of your current concerns. Sessions are always conducted collaboratively and with warmth and empathy.

Following sessions:  After the first session, Louise will have developed a personalised treatment plan for you.  From then on, you will work together towards making the changes you hope for in your life. Louise will continue to listen carefully in order to build a deeper understanding of your concerns and needs through each session.
